黄花，学名萱草，又名忘忧草，“观为名花，食为佳肴，用为良药”，与蘑菇、木耳并称为“素食三珍”，具有极高的食用价值和药用价值，自古以来就有入诗、入画、入联、入园、入药、入席“六入名花”之美誉。

云州区黄花，是其著名的特产之一，含有丰富的蛋白质、氨基酸、卵磷脂、黄酮、维生素A、维生素B1和锌、硒、铁、锶等对人体有益的微量元素，素有“席上珍品，素食之王”的美称。

黄花不仅是一道高档菜肴，还在健脑、催乳、降压、利尿、安神等方面具有独特的功效。

Day lily, known as hemerocallis or nepenthe, “view as a famous flower, eat as a delicacy, and to use as a good medicine”. It is also known as the “Three Treasures of Vegetarianism” along with mushrooms and fungus, has extremely high edible and medicinal value. It has been praised historically as the “Six-into Famous Flowers” in poetry, painting, couplets, gardens, medicine, and banquet.

Day lily in Yunzhou District is one of its famous specialties, rich in protein, amino acids, lecithin, flavonoids, vitamin A, vitamin B1, and beneficial trace elements such as zinc, selenium, iron, strontium, etc. It is known as the “treasure on the table and the king of vegetarianism”.

　　人文历史

据史书记载，云州区（原大同县）黄花种植历史非常悠久，早在1600年以前北魏建都平城（现大同）时期就有种植。初为将采自凉山的野生黄花引入宫廷园林作观赏植物，以后逐渐为人食用。在600年前的明朝时广泛种植，进入到繁盛时期。从明朝开始，享有“黄花之乡”的美誉，说明在明朝时期，大同黄花已经初具规模，品质出众，就已成为知名度很高的地方特色农产品。

According to historical records, Yunzhou District (formerly Datong County) has a very long history of day lily cultivation, dating back to 1600 years ago when the Northern Wei Dynasty established its capital in Pingcheng (now Datong). Initially, wild day lily collected from Liangshan were introduced into palace gardens as ornamental plants, and later gradually became edible for humans. It was widely planted during the Ming Dynasty 600 years ago and entered a prosperous period. Since the Ming Dynasty, day lily has been known as the “Hometown of day lily”, indicating that during the Ming Dynasty, day lily had already begun to take shape and had outstanding quality, becoming a well-known local characteristic agricultural product.

在地壳运动的长期作用下，云州区形成了复杂多样的地貌，南六棱山、北采凉山群山夹持，中部广袤盆地平川中一座座突兀耸立的大同火山群锥体，桑干河谷秀水湿地贯穿东西，湖光山色册田水库，尤其是大同火山群，不仅记述了发生于30万年前地壳运动的沧桑巨变，保存了绚丽多姿的火山遗迹，也造就了奇特的地质地貌景观和富锌富硒的肥沃火山土壤。复杂多样的地貌类型和高原凉爽的温带季风气候造就了云州区丰富的小气候类型，形成了北纬37°～42°最适宜作物生长黄金纬度带内特殊的生态系统，也为大同黄花的生长提供了良好的环境基础。

Under the long-term influence of the crustal movement, Yunzhou District has formed a complex and diverse landform, flanked by the Liuleng Mountain in the south and the Liangshan Mountain in the north. In the vast basin and plain in the central part, there are towering cones of the Datong volcanic group. The wetland of the Sanggan River Valley runs from east to west, beautiful lakes and mountains, and reservoirs of the Cetian area. Especially the Datong volcanic group, not only record the vicissitudes of crustal movement that occurred 300,000 years ago, but also preserve the colorful volcanic relics, which also creates unique geological and geomorphological landscapes and fertile volcanic soils rich in zinc and selenium. The complex and diverse landform types and the cool temperate monsoon climate on the plateau have created rich microclimate types in Yunzhou District, forming a special ecosystem in the golden latitude zone of 37°~ 42°north latitude, which is most suitable for crop growth, and also providing a good environmental foundation for the growth of Datong day lily.

　　产业发展

截止2022年，云州区黄花种植面积为17.02万亩（其中农户种植面积11.81万亩，合作社种植面积5.21万亩），进入盛产期面积10万亩，有机、绿色认证面积达9万亩，鲜黄花产量10万吨，加工干黄花1.2万吨，并形成1个3万亩片区、8个万亩片区和79个黄花专业合作社，有51家具有联贫带贫任务合作社，拥有15家黄花精深加工企业，全区产业链产值已达17.5亿元，占地区生产总值的10.42%，全区农民黄花产业人均收入5200元。

国务院知识产权战略实施工作部际联席会议办公室公布了知识产权强国建设第二批典型案例，山西省大同市知识产权局报送的《山西省大同市做强黄花产业，做优品牌经济》成功入选。这是山西省首例入选案例，也是山西省积极推进地理标志创新服务地方经济发展的成功经验。

By 2022, the day lily planting area in Yunzhou District is 170,200 mu (including 118,100 mu planted by farmers and 52,100 mu planted by cooperatives), with a peak production area of 100,000 mu, an organic and green certified area of 90000 mu a fresh day lily output of 100,000 tons, and 12,000 tons of processed dry day lily. It has formed a 30,000 mu area, 8 10,000 mu areas, and 79 professional day lily cooperatives, with 51 cooperatives dedicated to poverty alleviation. It has 15 deep processing enterprises for day lily, and the industrial chain output value of the entire region has reached 1.75 billion yuan, accounting for 10.42% of the regional GDP. The per capita income of farmers in the day lily industry in the region is 5,200 yuan.

The Office of the Inter Ministerial Joint Conference on the Imple-mentation of the State Council's Intellectual Property Strategy has announced the second batch of typical cases for the construction of an intellectual property strong country. The "Strengthening the Day lily Industry and Optimizing the Brand Economy in Datong City, Shanxi Province" submitted by the Intellectual Property Administration of Datong City, Shanxi Province has been successfully selected. This is the first selected case in Shanxi Province, and it is also a successful experience of Shanxi Province actively promoting geogra-phical indication innovation to serve local economic development.
